From the magnifier to the graphometric signature

In the latter years the needs of identification and privacy have induced new technologies that are transforming graphology.

From the interpretation of the graphic movement through the graphological traits now we’re using the graphometric signature that takes over the biometric behavior of position, velocity and pressure during the signing process.

These studies open up new scenarios of analysis that conduct to the identification of new characteristic parameters.

Furthermore the increasing in cases of ASD has introduced new methods of studying the graph-move difficulties with the target of overcome the gap.

Graphological Analysis

What is graphology?

Graphology examines what is the final product of a complex process that takes place more or less consciously between the mind and the body. It is a difficult, rigorous and constantly evolving science. Today, neuroscience has highlighted many functions that our brain system is able to perform and has also allowed us to draw increasingly precise neurological maps regarding these activities. Well all these new knowledge do nothing but confirm the objectivity and the effective usefulness that graphology can put at the service of man in many and varied fields: from vocational guidance to human resource management, from the judicial sector to that of support in the clinical sector, from the re-education of motor graphics to the aptitude for studies.

Functions

The graphological analysis highlights the psycho-attitudinal profile of the writer: with the tendencies and inclinations inherent to intelligence, will, temperament and affective dispositions, in the expert field the analysis of the handwriting is oriented, for identification purposes, to that of the subject’s “graphic” personality.
The comparative graphological analysis is a technique aimed at ascertaining and determining whose authorship of a holographic text is.
The technical assessment intends to identify whether a particular graphic gesture, object of investigation, is matched by one or more autographed writings provided for comparison, through the verification of the existence or not of qualitative and quantitative elements that prove the origin of the same but no.
The graphic appraisal is used in the judiciary to establish the authenticity, counterfeiting or authorship of writings such as signatures, documents, anonymous letters, holographic wills.
In its initial phase, the expertise graphological analysis involves carrying out a series of preliminary examinations, also called commodity examinations, on inks, paper and writing media. These findings are necessary in order to exclude any tampering and counterfeiting due to mechanical operations, which may invalidate the effectiveness of a public or private deed, a will or a contract.
